Bergamot
Plant Family: Rutaceae
Synonyms: Citrus aurantium subsp. bergamia
Origins: Native to tropical Asia, Calabria (Southern Italy), and Ivory Coast
Effects: Uplifting and refreshing

Extraction Method: Vacuum distillation or solvent extraction
Nature of the Oil: It is a pale yellow-green liquid that has a citrus scent and a hint of spice.
Appearance: Being an evergreen tree, it can grow to a height of 15 feet (4.5m). The fruit of the tree is pear-shaped and turns from green to yellow. They are akin to miniature oranges.
Recommended Preparations:
- Skin Care: Acne, boils, cold sores, eczema, insect repellent and bites, oily complexion, psoriasis, scabies, spots, varicose ulcers, wounds
