Have you ever gotten to the end of your rope with your health?  No matter what you do, you still get sick and have digestive problems?

I did.

Don’t get me wrong…  I take echinacea, and I make my own remedies for illnesses and such, but I just got tired of still getting a cold during the change of the seasons.

So, as often do before I jump in with two feet, I go on the internet and find out as much information I can about water kefir.  It has easily up to 200 times more probiotics than yogurt.  I found out that milk kefir also existed, but I am allergic to milk, casein to be exact.  I did start out by going to a Whole Foods store and getting milk kefir, but, alas, they were not grains, but a starter box.  I was told online that they would not grow and multiply.  Yes, I said multiply.  When they are happy and being fed regularly, they blossom and make more of themselves.  Sounds neat, if you think about it.  It’s akin to having a pet without the papers or the training.

Well, I ordered some.  The instructions that came with it told me to ferment them for 2-4 days.  I overdid it a  bit and accidentally fermented it for six days.  Needless to say, it’s rather vinegary.  Good thing I started another batch.  Keep you updated!
